Webex for Developers Newsletter – September 2022
September 19, 2022The 🌻September🌻 Webex for Developers newsletter is here, delivering all the latest happenings with the Webex platform, community, and ecosystem.
🆕 Developer Platform Updates🆕
As usual, the Webex Developer platform has more new updates to learn more about this month. First, Webex Developer Evangelist, Aaron Burns, walks us through some great New Features in the Webex Meetings API:
- Closed captions (also called meeting transcripts), are now retrievable from the API without needing to record the meeting itself.
- The creation and management of break-out sessions is now available.
- Administrators can now retrieve complete meeting data for a user, even if they belong to an organization with multiple sites, with the new
siteURL
parameter.
In addition to the Meetings API updates, Cisco Product Manager for Identity Management & Security, Nick Wooler, introduces another new feature: Login with Webex on Developer Applications and 3rd Party Platforms. This was a common feature request, and we are excited to announce its availability. One of the more noteworthy aspects of Login with Webex is that it allows devices without a keyboard, such as an automobile, to authenticate on the Webex platform, making it a frictionless user experience.
